Let your soul be a destiny
That serves to embrace the righteous
And let your soul seek to empower
That which is angelic and virtuous
Laura Simoes
The underlying dogma of mind, body and soul resonates the intrinsic values that evolve around a substantial formation of the world we are part of. Destiny can, at times, serve to be a paradox that what we bequeath is nonetheless a vision of how virtuous and flawless we have lived. The infrastructure of our soul is a significant manifestation of this unique paradox. What does this relationship have with poetry? Let’s discuss.
A poet will impart to the world, in general, his or her visions of life, emotions, empiricism and a very precious soul … a soul which has envisioned plentiful and surrendered the sublime. This surrendering is the ravishing task of the poet … when poetry and soul unite … there conforms a tapestry, a manuscript, adept in the skillful mind of the poet. The inheritance, flawless and serene, is a true gift of mysticism, which must be preserved … it is a giving of oneself … an immaculate manifestation … not encountered in any other sphere. It is a gesture, an offering, made freely available by the poet … who plays the role of a benefactor … what an endowment from one soul to another … what an accomplishment from one mind to another!
The relationship between poet, poetry and soul now appears crystal clear, befitting and appropriate … strenuous enough to vibrate in us when we have made the serene connection between poetry and the soul. The poet is challenged in a most personal manner to establish a piece of art, to design a manuscript, with the conversance that it must overflow to another soul. This cascade is “The wing wherewith we fly to heaven.” – “Shakespeare”. It is not to be kept hidden in a drawer, or meant to fold neatly and hide under a mattress! Nor is it meant to be “A hard substance which forms in a soft brain,” – “Elbert Hubbard”.
The poet must be prepared to concede to savor every moment of writing. The approach must be gentle … like soft, gentle breeze on a cool spring day; this is the pouring out of one’s soul, one’s heart … not a frenzied gathering of thoughts with electrodes attached to the brain or a dogmatic approach to the art itself. When poetry is written for the soul, it must gain entrance from that deepest space in the core of the soul … it cannot be a deluge of high wired signals and psychedelic lights.
The soul rekindles and nurtures this precious endowment and gently allows it to reside for all ages to come. There is now formed a precious union between humanity and soul … a majestic adornment … a fusion … a beloved and reverberant metamorphosis … which seeks worship and glorification as immaculate manifestation.
Poetry for the soul will sensually subjugate and ignite that virtue which one grasps, to melt down the raucous that inundates one’s state of mind. This invites a lucid and halcyon pattern to flow endlessly, as the soul is uplifted into a psyche of hallucinating and euphoric existence.
Dear friend, allow poetry to be a benediction … a true and sincere soul-searching worship … that will instill in you a mystical presence. Allow it to stimulate and confer in you a vision that is boundless and sincere.
My prayer for you is that you will endeavor to seek within your soul a banquet of treasure, with a refined insight into poetry. My desire for you is that you will always believe what your soul offers you; it is in doing so that you will unleash a magnitude of abundance, where devotion abounds and where existence is a treasure to emancipation!
